This is the most common question! DEFINITELY come solo. Most of our members come solo and leave with a bunch of new friends. We understand it can feel intimidating to join something solo, but we LOVE meeting new people and you’ll feel like part of the group instantly, I promise 🙂

It depends where we are going. Often we will get a guide especially if it’s a big mountain with a larger group. Other routes we choose are well-marked, easy to follow and fine to do self-guided. We will specify this in the trip notes.

It depends on the event. We started out doing free unguideed social hikes so we plan to keep them going. For guided hikes there is a charge, however. This will be specified.

We encourage everyone to join our WhatsApp group for the most up-to-date updates on our trips and events.

Join our mailing list to be kept up to date on upcoming trips. When you see an adventure you’d like to join on our Upcoming Events page, simply click to book. Most of our trips require a deposit to book, this will all be specified in the event link.

It depends on where we are hiking – some mountain areas in Ireland do not allow dogs, others allow dogs on a leash.

We encourage car-pooling to events so we will try and put you in contact with someone coming from the same area. Please let us know and we will do our best to figure something out!

We will share details of the route and it’s up to you to assess your ability and decide whether you are up for it, based on your experience. There are different difficulty levels on our hikes and some events don’t involve much hiking at all so there’s something for everyone. Message us if you’re unsure!

Deposits are non-refundable unless your spot can be filled by someone else. A lot of time, energy and effort goes into organising these events, especially when trying to fill spots at short notice. Thank you for your understanding.

The majority of people who join us are aged mid-20s to mid 40s but we have younger and older than this. Don’t let age deter you 🙂
